Petone FC Women’s 2015 Pre-Season

Petone FC is looking forward to the 2015 season getting under way after our Women’s first team was promoted to the Capital Premier League for the first time in 15 years. Our Women’s reserve team was also promoted to Women’s Division 2 after finishing top in Division 3 last season. Following a successful 2014 season including the introduction of a Girls U17 summer league team, Petone FC is keen to form a Women’s 3rd team which would start in Division 3. We invite all current, old, and new players, of all abilities to join us at the following 2015 preseason programme. 

 

Preseason

 

Begins: Thursday 15th January 2015

 

  • Training for all levels, consists of football conditioning and small sided games.
  • Trainings will run Thursdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm and Sundays 10:00 am - 11:30 am until team selections.

 

Inter-squad Games

 

1st Inter-squad game: Thursday 5th February 2015

2nd Inter-squad game: Sunday 8th February 2015

3rd Inter-squad game: Thursday 12th February 2015

 

Team Selection

 

  • Teams will be split following inter-squad games but squads are not final.

 

Players Meeting

 

When: Thursday 19th February 2015

 

Players meeting will cover the following aspects: 

 

  • Roles for the season: Coaches, Managers and Committee members.
  • 5 year plan
  • Subs
  • Other

 

Next Steps

On Sunday 1st February 2015, we will be holding an Open Day for all female players -  whether you are currently playing for Petone Football Club, or are looking for a new club to join. Check out the flyer below for more information.

 

The first squad training: Sunday 22nd February 2015

 

  • Premier and reserve teams will commence Tuesday and Thursday trainings from Tuesday 24 February 2015
  • Sundays will be replaced with friendlies and the Stop Out preseason tournament.
  • 3rd team trainings TBC
